LOS ANGELES, CA (June 4, 2018) – Within the last two months, Booxie has garnered some of the industry’s highest awards and accolades. At The 8th Annual Appy Awards hosted by MediaPost, Booxie took home the Appy Award for Best Photography App, joining ranks with last year’s winner Adobe’s Photoshop.
The Appy Awards are among the most distinguished in the industry of technology, dedicated to acknowledging creativity and excellence in design across all platforms: mobile, social, and web-based. Winners are selected by a panel of leading tech executives who filter through hundreds of thousands of apps before selecting the very best.
Booxie is the social storytelling and greeting card app with print and web-sharing capabilities which enables users to transform photos, videos and graphics into shareable multimedia stories and photo books. Users can also create and send greeting cards, invites, announcements, etc. right from their smartphone by utilizing the app’s exclusive templates and themes.

Booxie has also been recognized as an Honoree by the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences (IADAS) in The 22nd Annual Webby Awards as Best User Interface for Mobile Sites & Apps. Honored alongside Booxie in this category are Delta Airlines, Chipotle Mexican Grill, Mobike, Infinity XFI, BB Dakota, AccuWeather, Molekule, and Yeti.
Hailed as the “Oscars for the Internet” by The New York Times, The Webby Awards received more than 13,000 entries from all 50 states and 70 countries, and is considered the leading international award honoring excellence on the Internet. This year’s Webby Honorees also include HBO’s Game of Thrones for social presence, Lin-Manuel Miranda’s Rise Up for public service & activism, and Lady Gaga for her documentary Gaga: Five Foot Two for music and best editing.
The judging body is comprised of 2000+ IADAS members including digital industry experts Lyft CEO Logan Green, Girls Who Code Founder Reshma Saujani, Gimlet Media CEO Alex Blumberg, Instagram’s Eva Chen, CNN host Van Jones, Internet inventor Vint Cerf, and Playmatics CEO Margaret Wallace. These incredible industry leaders consider Booxie to be in the top 18% of all apps from around the world.
Additional accolades for Booxie include the award for Excellence in its Use of Video and for Distinction in its Innovation for Mobile Features at The 24th Annual Communicator Awards. With entries received from around the world, the Communicator Awards is the largest and most competitive awards program honoring creative excellence for communications professionals. Overseen by the Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts (AIVA), a 600+ member organization of leading professionals from various disciplines, the Communicator Awards is dedicated to embracing progress and the evolving nature of traditional and interactive media.
Last year, Booxie was also touted as “One of the Best New Apps of 2017″ by New Atlas Magazine, and earned three prestigious W3 Awards by the Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts — two Gold Awards and a Silver Award for its user experience, visual design and photo and video features.
